THIS WAS US events are private by default. We collect the minimum account, membership, story, purchase and support data needed to operate an event.

Private content

Private event stories and media require authenticated membership. Hosts govern invites and moderation. Controlled download routes re-check host status and verified Final Edition payment.

Public Explore

Only events deliberately set to Public can appear in Explore. Approved public contributions may be shown with them; private and invite-only content is excluded.

Safety and retention

Users may edit their own profile while editing is open, report misuse, and request removal. Removal requests affecting an already-generated historical edition require case review because the frozen file may already have been downloaded.

Age eligibility

The service does not collect exact dates of birth. Until jurisdiction-specific guardian consent is implemented, onboarding is intended only for people legally able to consent independently in their jurisdiction.
